Who makes Okviro Tools?
Okviro Tools is an independent project from Croatia. Every tool is written and tested by hand, and suggestions sent to the contact address decide what is built next. Until October 2026 the site was called Kronos Tools (kronostools.com); old links still work. The operator of the site is named in the legal notice.
Why we built it
Most everyday tasks, like getting a photo under 50 KB for a job application or checking a monitor for dead pixels, should take seconds. In practice they mean wading through pages full of ads, sign-up walls and uploads to unknown servers. Okviro Tools does one job per page, does it immediately, and explains what it did.
How the tools work
- Local processing. Photos, ZIP files, JSON and spreadsheets are processed by your own browser. Nothing is uploaded.
- No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for and no limits on how often you use a tool.
- Works everywhere. Any modern browser on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android or iPhone.
- Plain explanations. Each tool page explains the method, its limits and common questions.
Privacy
Who is responsible. The controller for personal data on this site is the operator named in our legal notice. Contact: kronostoolsweb@gmail.com.
Your files. Files you open in a Okviro Tools page are read and processed on your own device and are never sent to our servers. We don't use accounts and don't ask for personal data.
Analytics. Only if you click Accept on the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which tools and pages are used. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects data such as the pages you view, your approximate location (country/city), device type, browser and how you arrived at the site. IP addresses are not logged or stored by Google Analytics 4. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. Google Analytics keeps this data for 2 months and then deletes it.
If you decline. Google Analytics is not loaded at all: nothing is sent to Google and no analytics cookies are set. If you accepted earlier and then decline, the Analytics cookies are deleted. Your choice itself is remembered in your browser's local storage (kt-consent) so the banner doesn't ask again on every page. After 12 months we ask again.
Camera. The webcam test uses your camera only after you click Start and allow it in your browser. The picture is shown only on the page, on your own device: it is never uploaded, recorded or stored by us. Test photos and clips are created in your browser and saved only if you choose to keep them.
Saved on your device. The time card calculator and the seating chart generator can remember your entries for next time, but only if you tick "Remember on this device". They are then kept in your browser's local storage (kt-timecard, kt-seating) on this device only and never sent to us; untick the box to delete them.
Thumbnail downloader. The thumbnail downloader loads thumbnails straight from YouTube's public image server (i.ytimg.com), which sees your IP address like any website you visit. The video link you paste is not sent to us.
Hosting and downloads. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver pages and block attacks (legitimate interest in a secure, working site, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). When you use a feature that needs extra code or an AI model (HEIC conversion, ZIP files, background removal, reading a PDF guest list), your browser downloads it from jsDelivr, Hugging Face or Google Cloud Storage; these services see your IP address like any website you visit, but never your photo or file. Fonts are served from our own domain, not from Google.
Transfers outside the EU. Google (Analytics, Cloud Storage, i.ytimg.com) and Cloudflare can process data in the USA; both are certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Hugging Face, Inc. is also based in the USA: its servers are contacted only when you start background removal on a photo page, and they receive only the technical request (IP address, browser), never your photo. jsDelivr is a public code network that serves files from the location nearest to you.
E-mail. If you write to us, we use your e-mail address and message only to answer you (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and delete them when the matter is closed, at the latest after 12 months. Our mailbox is hosted by Google (Gmail).
We don't make automated decisions about you or build profiles. You don't have to give us any personal data to use the tools.
We don't show ads and don't sell or share data with advertisers.
Your rights. You can ask us for access to, correction or deletion of your data, a copy of it in a portable format, restrict or object to its processing, and withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to a data protection authority; in Croatia that is the Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP).
